Superior Taste Award 2011
Hochdorf, 22 June 2011 – As a leading organisation, the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) is dedicated to the evaluation, awarding of distinctions to and the promotion of high quality food and drink. HOCHDORF Nutrifood Ltd. submitted two products for the 2011 Awards. The Mousse au Chocolat noir and the VIOGERM® wheat germ oil received two Stars and one Star respectively.
At the International Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels a high quality jury comprising 120 recognised and independent chefs and sommeliers from all Europe taste and evaluate a wide range of products from the food sector. Every product submitted is assessed within its own category but not compared with other products. Sensory criteria are assessed, e.g. first impression, appearance, aroma, composition as well as taste and smell. Depending upon the number of points the products are awarded one, two or three Stars - or no Stars at all.
Successful products of HOCHDORF Nutrifood Ltd.
For the first time HOCHDORF Nutrifood submitted two products to the International Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels for evaluation - the newly developed Mousse au Chocolat noir and the VIOGERM® wheat germ oil. Both products received awards from the jury.
The fine Dessert Mousse au Chocolat noir was awarded two Stars. The specialist jury was impressed in particular with the appearance, texture and taste. The VIOGERM® wheat germ oil was awarded one Star. The high quality wheat germ oil scored with its appearance, taste and smell.
Superior Taste Award 2011
This year a total of 906 products were submitted to the jury for testing. 136 of these were awarded one Star, 381 two Stars and 144 three Stars. Products that were presented with the Superior Taste Award attract special attention worldwide as they have been tested and praised by leading, independent chefs and wine waiters.
